Carer Support Payment launched in the pilot areas of Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and the Western Isles on 20 November 2023. We are now expanding the launch of the benefit to the areas of Angus, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire on the 24 June.

Social Security Scotland will be hosting a short series of events to make sure you and the people you support have all the relevant information you need about Carer Support Payment before it opens for new applications in your area. This will include how it will be different from Carer’s Allowance and how the service will be delivered in Scotland by Social Security Scotland.
